We have been on a mission since 2015 to make Ireland more dog friendly, because, let's face it, life is better when you can bring your dog.

We sniff out the best dog friendly cafes, restaurants, bars and accommodation all over Ireland that allow dogs inside and welcome them as the special furry customers they are!

The Legislation Around Being Pet Friendly

In 2017 there was a big breakthrough in the dog friendly mission. Old legislation from the 1950's that stated that domestic pets were not allowed in restaurants or bars, was revoked and now, all restaurants, bars and cafes are free to choose if they want to be pet friendly!

Not a lot of people are aware of this important change in legislation so make sure to screenshot the following and spread the word:

As of November 28th 2017, Domestic Animals Are Allowed Inside Cafés, Restaurants & Bars In Ireland At The Discretion Of The Owner So Long As:

-they are kept on a lead & supervised at all times

-dogs must not enter any food preparation areas, places where food is handled or stored
